help()

help() is built into Python. You do not import it. Freshers only need one honest call and the printed result — not a long definition.

help() — output — first line of len’s doc. help(len) is the interactive form.

Wrong type often raises TypeError. Empty values matter for bool/all/any. Don’t mix help up with a similar name (sorted vs sort, int vs float).

Exam tip

Call help() once and say what prints.

Example

# help()
print(len.__doc__.split(".")[0])

help() — output: first line of len’s doc. help(len) is the interactive form.

Short notes

  • Defhelp() is built-in — no import.
  • RuleOne call + exact output.
  • TrapWrong type → TypeError.
