Frames in AI

A frame is a template for a concept: slots + fillers. Restaurant frame: cuisine, price, location, open-hours. You fill slots from text or sensors. Old AI used frames a lot before big nets. Still a clean way to explain structured knowledge.

Example — Student frame — name, roll, marks. Missing slot = unknown, not zero. Don’t confuse frames with video “frames”.

Output — idea / do / check for Frames in AI. Fill those three in the viva.

Exam tip

One frame with three slots.

Example

# Frames in AI
print("idea :", "Frames in AI")
print("do : one tiny example on paper")
print("check: one failure case")

Output: idea / do / check for Frames in AI. Fill those three in the viva.

Short notes

  • DefSlots + fillers for a concept.
  • TrapNot a video frame.
  • Usestructured knowledge.
